I am currently compiling a book called Homeless Not Hopeless to raise awareness and funds for the plight of the homeless. All profits from the book will be going to small local charities from around the world that are trying to help these people. The book will consist of their portraits as well as their stories that I have complied over many years of spending time with them. I sit and eat with them and help any way I can, I want to take that help to another level.

If you want to help I have started a Go Fund Me page to raise funds for the book, you can find it here:  www.justgiving.com/crowdfundin…

I lived on the road for about 6 months a few years ago here in the US and the life is an interesting one. I recommend it highly to those who want to get a clearer picture of themselves and the "real world" around them. It's not like what you see on TV I promise you. People get the wrong idea about the homeless. It's not what you think it is. Not at all. Are there folks out there who just don't want to work? Absolutely. But the majority have something much more going on. They see things that we of the majority choose not to or just can't for some reason. I can't really explain it any better than that. It's something you have to live. I consider those months on the road the most special and important time of my life and miss it to a certain degree.

I would suggest, that an excursion out there into the world of the homeless for a time, living with them and among them would yield something so incredibly special that you could never achieve it any other way. And it could add another totally unique dimension to your book as well. Just my humble opinion.
